Friday, November 20, 2015 - Decanted; no sediment. First pour one hour later. Ruby/garnet color, semi opaque. Quite muted nose of berries, but not much else. Those who rave about this wine must just want to swig it without smelling first. Medium bodied red fruit on the palate, but nothing special about it. The fruit is balanced by good acids and tannins, but the finish is fairly short. Why anyone would pay $60/bottle (The CT average) for this wine is beyond me. At $15, it might make sense. This wine is not going to further improve with age, so drink up over the next 2-3 years.
