2014 Briceland Vineyards Pinot Gris

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Saturday, November 28, 2015 - Pours a very pale yellow with a tropical nose that is predominantly pineapple and honeydew.

The flavors closely mirror the nose, with underripe pineapple and honeydew playing in nice balance with the ample acidity. The mouthfeel is slightly oily and the wine has a gentle lingering finish. This is completely dry and comes in at 13.5%abv, with no heat whatsoever.

I don't drink this grape often, so I find it hard to rate, but I like this wine and the acidity works well with food -- I paired it with congee made with leftover Thanksgiving turkey and it was a really nice combo.
