Friday, December 11, 2015 - Champagne Salon e Delamotte (Milano c/o Pandolfini): Degorgèe 2012
Light, brilliant golden yellow, consistent.
Rich, opulent at nose, with an evident Iodine note; butter and marzipan, but also withe flowers (haw), fennel, oxidized apple and a balsamic note
Good acidity and nice fruit (grapefruit) at taste; perfectly centered, probably at its best. Good acidity and minerality, with a long persistence. Still young.

12/21/2015 7:15:00 PM - Thanks for your note and rating. Great to read! We started opening a bottle every year to celebrate our anniversary. We first sipped the 1997 at Salon...amazing experience. If you like their bubbles, then you must include a visit on your bucket list...fantabulous!
