On the palate very tight and for a 2009 surprisingly backward and lacking generosity. Luckily I had a chance to taste a second sample from a different bottle. This was much better and while still pretty tight, it was showing much more depth, ripe dark fruit, spices, tobacco, smoke. More generous than the 2010, still tannic and grippy with fine length. Very good, but I preferred the 2010 even at this young stage. Keep. 92-93+
