Wednesday, February 24, 2016 - This wine is ok. CJM hit it on the nose with grape jam. I was trying to figure out what that familiar smell was and it's Smucker's grape jelly from when I was a kid, mixed with a little tomato skin and green peppers.
This is straight forward fruit that I'm sure would be great on the porch for a nice summer BBQ with friends. Unfortunately for me it is February and I'm drinking it next to a bottle of 2010 Albatreti Brunello. Every time I go back to this wine it makes me chuckle at the difference. Just not in the same class and the Brunello was only $10 more.
