Tuesday, January 1, 2008 - Wonderful nose of cedar, blackberry fruit. Very little earthiness, plenty of cherries, chocolate, oak. Evolved wonderfully in the glass. Plenty of grip and structure throughout, wonderfully accompanying some flank steak. Had this with a 2003 Leonetti - I'm not sure which I'd pick again with price no object, but given the values I would go with Shafer every time.
