Served with the heavy cheese course on New Year's Eve and the wine matched perfectly - was the wine of the evening and she is clearly not past her prime. Color was ruby and the decanting 2 hours in advance gave plenty of time for the wine to breathe. An excellent wine from a mediocre vintage that remains astonishingly vibrant 26 years later
