Sunday, July 31, 2016 - 2010 Anrecht is still killing it. The nose screams Zeltinger with cumin, chili peppers, dusty/chalky minerals, crunchy apple, brothy salinity, a bit of peach and a touch of lime. The nose is wonderful but just a touch blunt. The palate is drop dead gorgeous it enters sweet with honey, peach and red apple, and then the cumin, spices and chili peppers come in. Next, in the mid palate, the screaming acidity comes in with nectarine, lime and tangerine. The mouthfeel is just perfect - great creamy texture from the fruit and sweetness, but light and sizzling from the acid. The finish is long, lively and right on pitch from the lime and tangerine acidity, backed up by the apple and stone fruit flavors. By the end of a sip, the salivary glands are on overdrive. Just stupid. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5.5/6, Finish - 5.5/6 Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17.5/20.
