Saturday, January 19, 2008 - Decanted for about 2 hours before drinking. Nose was mostly smoked meat and leather with a bit of blueberry. Taste was much of the same. Much like the Pontet-Canet we drank this with, it was surprisingly smooth for such a young wine. Only reason why I rated this one slightly lower was because I didn't think it was as well balanced as the Pontet-Canet. Last glass of the bottle was the best, showing some really great blueberries and blackberries mixed in with the leather and earth.
