Wednesday, November 2, 2016 - Nice weeknight QPR. Took about 45-min to open up so I recommend decanting, and it was much better with food. Overall, much more accessible than 32 months ago. Dried cherries, leather, herbs, and mushrooms on the nose. I did not get a lot of brett. The palate is medium-large, square, and quenching, bringing chocolate raspberries, tart cranberries, tobacco, V8 juice, soy sauce, and cherry pie into the finish, which brings refined tannins. Good acidity means it should last through the medium-term. Drink before 2020.
