Derek Darth Taster Does not like this wine:

Tuesday, January 24, 2017 - Pop and poured. Casual afternoon at B&B PP. Drank over 1.5 hours.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with garnet rim. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium intensity, with aromas of red florals, red cherry, cranberry, meat, stony minerality. Developed.
On the palate, dry, tart high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), rustic puckery medium+ tannins, medium body. Medium flavour intensity, with flavours of fresh red cherries, very tart cranberries, meat, stony minerality, earth. Coarse rough texture from the rustic tannins and the tartness of the acidic cranberries making it worse. Long finish, not in a good way.
Nose pretty good but hard to stomach on the palate once the tartness and rusticity get to you. Vintage issue? Or is Aloxe-Corton really just a middling rustic appellation? Had expected some better things from this monopole Premier Cru. Drink up, no point ageing any further.
