Monday, February 18, 2008 - Pale golden colour; similar to unoaked chardonnay. Swirling shows a very high glycerin level. Aromas of unripe peaches, white flowers, honey, and aniseed. Thick, viscous mouthfeel, passionfruit, lemon and melon, and even some of those little rocks you find by Lake Ontario (!). Medium finish replaying minerals and white peaches.

Not a bad wine, but I was disappointed with two things:

First, the aromas and flavour concentration were far too muted for this price point ($25). Second, the wine is almost completely lacking acidity, and coupled with the thick mouthfeel, it just "sits" on the palate like a dead fish. I went into this thinking it would taste like white Bordeaux; the addition of Chardonnay, however, is pretty dominant in the profile of this wine. And I HATE chardonnay.
