Wednesday, February 20, 2008 - This was mixed. The nose, on open and through, it just funky with a some earth and sharp wet cardboard. I never really got the nose, and it’s best to move past it. In the mouth is a different story, the wine takes on some weight with subtle cheery notes. Paired with a truffle risotto, it wasn’t the best pairing, but the wine certainly tasted considerably better with food than without. After two hours it was done. Overall, a bit of a disappointment due to the funky nose that never corrected itself.
