Wednesday, February 27, 2008 - 83-85. Deep ruby yet somewhat thin. A nose of raspberry jolly ranchers. Cranberries give way quickly to bright jammy cherry fruit cola with a strained tanic grip. Where's the Spain in this Spanish wine? Tastes more like an inexpensive Australian Shiraz or Cali Cab. No spice present from the Tempranillo or Garnacha - really putting these great grapes to shame. That said, it's perfectly drinkable if underwhelming. Drink now, or maybe make sangria.
