Sunday, April 30, 2017 - PnD 2/3 of the bottle let air for 2hrs. Deep garnet purple dense but not opaque with plum to clear rim. Cassis plum rosemary tobacco and fig on the nose. Medium weight with ripe cherry skin and nicely steeped black tea tannins. Cassis plum fig fennel rosemary tobacco and a touch of tar on the palate. Very dry on the finish with cassis and herbs. Still young but in a bit of an in between phase. Would not let air for so long with my next bottle.

Day 2. Rest of the bottle that had not been exposed to air was fresher with more fruit. +1 pt. Confirmed initial note that this does not need a lot of air.
