Monday, June 12, 2017 - Dark red. No signs of age. A bit of faint spritz on first opening but this dissipated. Super sweet and almost syrupy red fruit - cherry, raspberry, cassis. Some earth as well. This was a good wine with nice flavors, but really over-ripe and syrupy for my tastes. The high alcohol wasn't evident per se, but the sugary ripeness of the wine was quite forward. I have had older TC Esprits so assume this is just a vintage flaw.
