Monday, July 3, 2017 - Like the previous poster I found it difficult to find this wine on CT and it doesn't even appear to be on the vintner's own website. Under the Lapostolle label it only shows blends with carmenere and other grapes as the main grape, syrah is not an option. Also couldn't find it on wine searcher as there are multiple versions of this label. Very odd marketing decision by the vintner to not put any info on this label that would help people find it and buy it.

Anyway, the wine: opaque ruby-into-black color, viscous on the tongue. The meatiness of the syrah is countered by the fruit profiles of the other 3 grapes, mostly black fruits and a bit of licorice. The oak is subtle but provides a nice bass line. Not a complex or profound wine but very enjoyable at $17. A re-buy for me.
