Monday, March 10, 2008 - Pulled from cheap Chinese wine keeper and popped and poured into Riedel Vinum Syrah glasses. Big deep nose of red fruit and dark chocolate. Slightly tart clean red fruit. Good depth and complexity. Well integrated tannins. Subtle vanilla on the clean moderately long finish. Good minerality and acid. Not very "Australian" but rather reserved and sorta Burgundian. Paired well with lamb shanks with rosemary & mint. Not a fruit bomb.
