Monday, August 7, 2017 - Cork pulled, one hour of air and no decant. Straight there with a lovely taste of dark fruit - very silky with and a long long finish. No hint of too much age - plenty left in this wine so happy to sit on my last one for a while.

1/5/2018 8:21:00 AM - You were luckier than me! I just had a disappointing experience with the 1995 LB which was tight upon opening, disharmonious, unrewarding and drying towards the end. Decanting (and in my case also drinking over a period of three days) helped the wine to open up, but it also resulted in the wine feeling a little thin from day two. A let down and not up to the usual LB standard to me.
