Friday, September 29, 2017 - Medium ruby on appearance, pretty healthy for a 32-year-old bordeaux.

When it is out of bottle, the nose is dominated by barnyard funk, blackcurrant and prune notes.

In the 1st hour of decanting, plumy and prune notes are rather overwhelming.

In the 2nd - 3rd hour of decanting, blackcurrant, cedar and earthy notes start to develop and prune notes start to recede.

In the 4th hour of decanting, the wine starts to achieve a balance of primary and tertiary flavours. The nose is highly attractive and graceful. The acidity remains refreshingly high, tannins are ripe yet high. The flavours start to become more subtle and more well integrated.

It's quite a nice wine now, but I think it has potential of reaching its peak in 5-10 years.
