Saturday, October 28, 2017 - Expectation were high going in based on several reviews from friends and one well known critic who decided to compare this wine to SQN. Initial thoughts were a bit lackluster. The wine is deeply colored, filled with big, ripe fruit and the 14.5 % ABV was drinking hot even after being open for a few hours. However, on the second day I began to understand what the hype was about (remember, we're talking about a $13 bottle) and I think the previous reviews describing this as a chateauneuf are spot on. Give this wine some time in the decanter or cellar it for a few years.
