Tuesday, January 2, 2018 - Upon opening very good core of dark fruit with mature notes in abundance. I decanted and then the wine seemed to close down. After a few hours it became better but never seemed to completely recover. I would not decant this.

7/7/2018 6:31:00 AM - Thanks for sharing your note. I have made experiences very similar to yours. Many 1995s seem very tight and never really open up in the decanter. So I am currently not opening any 1995s hoping for a higher success rate a few years down the road. I intend to give them another shot around 2025.
