Saturday, January 6, 2018 - Had to create a new wine for this one! Dark golden/yellow color, really showing its age. Interesting nose. There is honeyed botrytis, but also something slightly reduced/Sauvignon Blanc-like (could it be the Sylvaner influence?). Musty as well, doesn't seem corked, but rather just quite old. Probably would have been better a few years ago, this is nevertheless delightful and fun to drink. Can't wait to see how it is with a garlic/mustard/rosemary/maple-glazed ham! 89
