Sunday, January 7, 2018 - Normally I like odd little wines. Deep color, light body, very acidic with soft dry tannins. Notmally this would be a winning formula for me, and I have loved all previous wines from Ribeira Sacra, not this one. I think it's ripe fruits that it lacks and I don't think a steak is going to fix it.
Revisiting days later, unloved taste and acidity still prevail while significant sludge is found in the bottom. Now I love a wine that has more soluble solids than it can hold and isn't overfiltered. In theory I should like this wine, will try it again maybe side by side with Petalos another wine made from Mencia grapes. With friends.
