Sunday, January 14, 2018 - This is superb. Very much in a Bordeaux style but with a unique twist from the port varietals. This is polished, elegant, restrained, and carefully made. The oak is there but not intrusive. Tannins are melty. This evolved beautifully over the course of dinner (lamb tagine), and each glass was better than the last. I would say this wine is in the zone but will likely have a long plateau. I have another ½ case of this and I look forward to seeing how it evolves over the next decade.
