90 Points

Sunday, April 20, 2008 - Tasted at opening, after 2 hours, after 4 hours. It continued softening and rounding. Black cherries, mild pepper, and cedar. Solid tannic structure. The initial heat blew off, leaving one impression: the 2005 vintage clearly yielded amazing fruit! Silky, crystal purity of fruit. And at only $14? I'm going to buy a few more and lay them down for 5-10 years. If this is what distinguishes the 2005 Bordeaux vintage, intense deep fruit from first growths all the way down, then I'm glad I've been stocking up.
