Sunday, February 4, 2018 - I agree with previois tasting notes overall, a full bodied "fat" "oily" wine packed with ripe fruits with minimal acidity. Yes, would be a crowd pleaser ... except to a crowd of California Chardonnay drinkers.

May depend somewhat on context, I had this last night with a home made quite spicey Thai style red curry. Was perfect, the sweet (not that sweet but definitely not savory) richness was a perfect foil for the spicey Thai style food.

Certainly more complexity can be had from Viognier but doubtful at this price point.

5/2018 wine has developed a lot of color with age. Is now, and perhaps was, flabby and lacking distinction. Suggest drink now if it still appeals.
