Friday, February 2, 2018 - The wine was decanted for an hour and consumed over the next two. Aromas of red fruit and licorice, eucalyptus, cassis and floral notes. Flavors were expressive and included cherry, black fruits, coffee, dark pepper and hints of raspberry and tobacco. A medium mouthfeel that bordered on rich with an appealing, silky texture that was fully resolved and balanced. Finish was sustained, smooth and lingering. This wine is in a very good place and the drinking window is open. An exquisite, lovely offering. Excellent Cali cabernet. 92+

2/20/2018 4:56:00 PM - This wine was a challenge. Decanted for an hour but should have been two to four hours. Took some time for the fruit to step forward to balance the oak. The rest became history though. My wife loved it and she is much more patient than me.
