Monday, February 5, 2018 - If there is a barolo that you’d want to try young although you may have fears of infanticide....it would be this one. I really enjoy the nose of this wine...always mesmerizing to me consistently.

On this night the wine was decanted a day prior by the restaurant somm. Bouquet of florals roses, re fruit...a perfume that keeps sucking you in and wanting more. The palate was great....silky tannins, dark cherry, a hint of some earthy mushroom to it which I didn’t expect...finish was nice and long.

I caution that this really needs some time...but to have had it decanted prior to....it was amazing to try this young...it’ll be even better down the line I hope. Impressive and love these 13s. Brunate still my fave.
