Thursday, February 8, 2018 - I have been familiar (and loving) Moric Austrian reds (Blaufrankish) since me trip to Austria 5 years ago. When I saw this white on the wine list, I knew I had to try it. Super Natural is a blend of Gruner Veltliner and Chardonnay and a touch of Riesling. Full bouquet of pear, lime, melon and basil. This was a palate coating rush of flavors that seem to evolve in your mouth. Wonderful minerality with stone fruit, black pepper, mint, and what seemed like a rush of other spices and flavors that lingered on pleasantly with a dry finish. Evolved further in the glass. If you love Burgundian whites, you’ll really appreciate what Moric has done. Fantastic QPR! Now we just need a way to make Moric wines more accessible in the US!!! Cheers!
