Saturday, April 26, 2008 - Decanted for a few hours before opening, this wine was deep, dark purple in colour - almost black. On the nose I found aromas of jammy dark fruits and a little smoke. The palate showed less primary fruit, and more earthy, vegetal characters and more acidicty than I was expecting. I think this vintage has peaked.
