Saturday, March 31, 2018 - Like many of Eric Solomon's wines, this one is extremely intense and not a bit austere. It's grown and made down around Maury near Perpignan, mostly syrah, the rest grenache. Dark purple, almost black in the glass, vanilla and violet and a bit of leather on the nose, smoked meat and dark fruits (blackberry and black currant) on the silky palate, light tannins, soft finish, lots of charm. 14.5% abv almost covered.
