Friday, May 9, 2008 - Very nice, inexpensive example of gruner veltliner, demonstrating the unusual complexity of these wines. Lime and peach pit, a fleeting note of banana, even, with some slight smoky, waxy, and savory spice notes. Not as full and complete as the best examples, though: try Nigl's Privat for that.
