Friday, June 29, 2018 - Drunk one bottle over two days. This is how I like Bordeaux :) Deep, garnet color almost inky. Beautiful, intense nose of a classic BDX: Black fruit, tobacco, oak, leather, herbs, some espresso and cacao. Complex and multi-layered.
Dry, high acidity balances the rather 15-16% abv quite well. Full bodied, firm and not yet fully integrated ripe tannin. On the palate blackberry, cherries, dark chocolate, smoke, espresso. Silky and mouthcoating without being fat or broad. Long, lingering finish with a touch of hotness. Still very young and with a great potential for the next decade. 94++
