Monday, August 6, 2018 - According to a review, 2018 is at the end of the drinking window. Well let me assure you that this is drinking superbly and still has many years left in it (particularly if you have held it since release in a reasonable temperature controlled cellar). Slight eucalypt/medicinal bouquet but the flavor on the palette was fruit melding with creamy oak, rolling around in the mouth like a good ten year old wine. Pitch black in the glass with crimson edges, no sign of bricking or browning. 14% alcohol and no heat, tannins and acid still evident, excellent mouth feel and lingers on the palette long after the last sip. Also this wine had one of the best quality corks I have seen in a long time. Smooth all over, no pitting, no cracks. Must make a big difference. ;D
