Monday, September 3, 2018 - Wow. Wine was electric - a very real tension between primary and secondary evolution (with only a whiff of tertiary on the nose). Pure GC nose of earth, saddle leather and ripe bing cherry. Palate had wonderful balance of acidity, tannin and vibrant red fruit. Tannins were pleasantly forward and alive - this wine is a testament to great winemaking, old vines and the beauty of terroir. It's not a grand cru, but it was a grand bottle; this shames 90% of Burgundy village wines. Drink it if you're lucky or hold it a few more years if you're luckier. Bravo!
