Friday, October 5, 2018 - Had this at the Charleston off-line for Burgundy night.

This was part of the desert flight that also included 1988 Château d'Yquem.

This was an interesting wine, that had been aged in barrels for most of the time and bottled in recent years.

A good and interesting wine, but tough competition with the beautiful Sauternes served along side. My oldest wine to date, until we had a 1889 Justino's Madeira Malmsey the following night.

Paired well with the Pain d'Epices Bread Pudding/Sourwood Honeyed Apricots deserts.

Flavors of apricot, baking spices, raisin and honey. Nice desert sipper and an enjoyable wine to try.
