Saturday, October 27, 2018 - Tasted next to 2015 Sassicaia. More restrained on the nose - dark fruit, spices, violets, but less expressive. On the palate tight and grippy. Very good acidity, lots of fruit underneath those powerful, almost rustic tannins. Very long and intense finish. Needs time for all the parts to come together, but very promising. 93-94+(+?)
