92 Points

Wednesday, October 31, 2018 - Rated 93 points by JS. It took me some time to formulate an opinion on this blend using an unfamiliar grape variety, Teroldego, along with a dollop of Syrah. Deep purple in color with aromas of cedar, violets, flint and toasted bread. Initial entry shows an element of spice that quickly expands on the palate to engulf the taste buds with a clean, full richness of flavors including Bing cherry, plum, cinnamon, cranberry and red licorice. Balanced and somewhat complex. Medium length finish that was smooth and pleasant without a hint of heat. I read a blogger's review that trashed this wine and the JS review. I am constantly reminded how personal preference plays into everything wine. I found this to be an excellent food wine, pleasant standing on its' own, and a bargain wine by my standards. You be the judge!
