This is super detailed, intense, with a vibrant sweet core of fruit but balanced by dryness on the finish and a sublime licorice backdrop. So defined and precise but also so expansive and expressive. While I love plenty of Syrahs from California and Rhone, they seem flabby by comparison to this stunning beauty.
