Wednesday, December 19, 2018 - Drinking quite well right now. Still a deep ruby with garnet hue. Black currant, cassis, chocolate and mint with cedar, graphite, leather, licorice and baking spice. There is an overarching aroma of sweet oak. Full bodied with well integrated sweet tannins (there is still some tannin to shed). On the palate the sweet oak and cassis with chocolate covered mint is most prevalent. Nice finish. Decanted (some sediment) for 1-hour and enjoyed over 3-hours.
