Light yellow; nose of lime and papaya, later a anise/root beer note developed that was out of character for chardonnay but a pleasant surprise in the wine, it didn't last more than 30 minutes. Taste and body feeling was mostly on the acidic side- valued by many but not me. I think this really needs 5-10 yrs to meld into a outstanding chardonnay. Won't drink any more for a long time....
