Sunday, January 13, 2019 - This is what a Crozes should strive for: aromatic complexity that bridges the two poles of Syrah: blackberry, black pepper fruit and briny, meaty black olives, licorice, herbal notes. With great acidity, fine-grained tannins and still an elegant medium bodied wine with lift and energy rather than brutal power. Will evolve for a long time, certainly, but also great now, on the fruit.
