Friday, January 25, 2019 - This was a powerful Langoa, though a bit lean. Herbaceous, cabernet distinct, with lots of energy and feist. Almost a page out of the book of the 2016 Talbot with more Cabernet dominance. Very, very long! Needs a lot of cellar time but should be brilliant with 10 years on it. HOLD

11/30/2019 10:47:00 AM - Below is what I thought about the 2016 Leoville Barton (WS Wine of the year), as it compares to the 2016 Langoa. The Langoa is a find IMO...
"So looking forward to this after the awesome 2015, and having bought a case without trying it...I was left a bit lost in that it did not have the power that I had romanticized about. Maybe me, maybe fact, but I thought that the Langoa served alongside had just as much if not even MORE power...Need to revisit this, so I will refrain from scoring. Luckly, I had bought a case of Langoa blind as well and now need to crack open a full bottle and maybe double down on it."
