Friday, March 8, 2019 - I was expecting this wine to be past its drinking window, but this bottle was still quite good.
Nose doesn’t show much and is a little musky. But it tastes fine with red cherry, plum, cranberry, faint strawberry up front, followed by lots of earth and herbs like sage and English thyme.
Finish is mostly terroir-mix of earthy goodness and garden savory herbs along with sour cherry and a slight balsamic note. Slightly astringent on the tongue after a minute.
Pretty good wine overall, certainly mature, drink now or next couple of years if cellared properly.
