Sunday, March 10, 2019 - Very clean aromatics on the nose here, with none of the classic Musar funk. Polished fruit notes of cassis and candied cherry up front, with a little spice, leather and wood in the background. The overall impression is rather Bordelais. Palate is jammy and fruit-forward; deliciously cool and accessible, but showing an alarming lack of structure and grip (quite unlike the 2009 I tried a few weeks back). I can’t see this being a particularly long-lived Musar, but it gave a great deal of pleasure tonight.
