Friday, August 1, 2008 - The Paulee de Hersh (Casa Hersh): The 78 Leflaive was also controversial. On opening, there was a slightly odd sense to the wine. Not corked, just, well odd. We put it into a decanter, and it had three or four hours of air before it was poured. A great wine, with an amazing core to it, notwithstanding the slight oddness that for me never fully went away. Jim and Chet loved it, so we'll go with their judgment - great stuff.
