Saturday, June 8, 2019 - 2017 Carter Wines (Envy Wines): This is perhaps a tick better than the OG, but shows a very similar profile. The sum of its parts here make for a nicely composed wine, with good depth, fine grained tannins, plush fruit and a deeper mid pallet than the rest. Like all these wines, there is a lot of black cherry to go along with cassis, blueberries, spice box and dusty earth. The redder fruit dominates, with excellent layering and focus. The finish is relatively long and the most composed of the group. This will get better. 95+
