Sunday, July 7, 2019 - 07JUL19: Reviewing one week after drinking; wow, what a wine! After battling with the cork, opens to a warm pale gold color and notes of apricot and peach on the nose; medium body sweet wine with muted acidity (from aging); big ripe summer fruits - peaches, apricots, and even apple on the nose, which build on the palate with expected minerality and hints of slate on the finish; don’t expect a cutting young Riesling for spicy Thai foods, but a guaranteed crowd pleaser as a food wine for more savory dishes.
