Wednesday, October 2, 2019 - Dark and inky out of the bottle with legs that hug the glass, aromas of cassis and vanilla on the nose. The wine explodes in the mouth, full bodied and chewy with cassis complemented by chocolate and prune. Finish is long. Tannins are initially a little tight but the wine opens up nicely over time. This is an extraordinary wine, compares with the best in cabernet sauvignon. It has plenty of time left to mature further and it will be fun to see how it evolves over the next 5-10 years … if you have any bottles in your cellar!
